Secure On-line Ordering
Purchasing on-line is easy.
1. Just select from our catalogue the items you wish to buy and click the 'add to basket' button.
2. The contents of your basket will then be displayed.
3. If you wish to change the quantity of a particular item, simply amend the quantity for that item and then click the 'update basket' button.
4. If you wish to remove items from your basket, click the 'Remove Item'
check-box and then click the 'update basket' button.
5. When you have selected all the items that you wish to purchase, click the 'checkout' button to complete the on-line order form with your delivery and payment details.

Terms and Conditions
When you place an order on-line, all the payment details you enter are encrypted using SSL technology before being sent over the Internet. This is the standard method for on-line shopping to prevent your personal information from being copied or intercepted while being transferred to our computer. On receipt of your order you will be transferred to the WorldPay on-line credit card payment facility. Your order details are stored in a secure database to keep them safe from hackers, and your credit card details are not held as clear text on any web site or computer connected directly to the Internet.
To use the on-line ordering facility you must have cookies enabled on your browser. Cookies are used on this site to keep track of your basket ID only, and no other details are stored. The cookies are set to expire after 1 day.
Offline Ordering
If you are not happy about using our secure on-line ordering facility we are very happy to take your order by telephone. Simply complete and submit the on-line order form, but select "Offline Order" for the credit card type. Then call us on 01634 843966 to arrange payment either by credit card or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Sew Chic and sent to: Sew Chic, 74 High Street, Rochester, Kent ME1 1JY. Items purchased by cheque will be despatched immediately the funds clear.
Postage and Packing
All orders are sent First Class Recorded Delivery or by Parcel Post depending on weight and size, and should normally be received within 3 working days of your order confirmation. A maximum charge of £5.95 per order applies to UK mainland orders (less for smaller packages). Items sent to any off-shore islands (inc. Northern Ireland) will be sent by standard Royal Mail parcel post and may take longer to be delivered.
Back Orders
We only display items that we have in stock and on the shelf however our website can be up to an hour behind the stock level system. If by coincidence you order an item that has sold out in the last hour the item you purchased will be placed on back-order and despatched as soon as it arrives. You will be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait, or you will be advised if the fabric is no longer available in which case your credit card will be immediately refunded.
Mail List
We may on occasions send short marketing emails when new stock arrives. When you place an order you can opt to be included or excluded from our mail list. We will not pass on your details to anybody (including email addresses because we hate spam too!). Please feel free to contact us if you wish to be included in our mailing list or if you have received an e-mail and wish to be removed.
Representation
Every effort is made to provide a good description of each item but the pictures and photos of fabrics shown on this website should be used as a guide only, as true colour representation cannot be guaranteed on different computer monitors. For example a purple coloured fabric may appear as dark pink on your screen.
VAT Charges
All prices shown are inclusive of VAT at 17.5%.
Returns Policy
We will replace faulty goods with an identical replacement item or refund your money if the item is no longer available or out of stock. Faulty items must be returned to us in their original, undamaged packaging within 14 days of receipt, and must not show any signs of 'wear and tear'. All returned items must be securely packaged and a certificate of posting must be obtained from the Post Office.
